Fry Dust

Coeur Spice Fry Dust is a bold, homemade all-purpose seasoning blend that transforms ordinary fries, taters, popcorn, roasted veggies, or even meats into craveable, restaurant-level perfection.

This smoky-savory dust starts with rich smoked alder salt for that deep, natural wood-smoked backbone, balanced by a touch of brown sugar for subtle caramel sweetness that caramelizes beautifully on hot food. Layers of paprika (sweet or smoked) bring warm color and mild smokiness, while generous black pepper (coarsely ground) adds sharp bite and texture. The signature punch comes from celery seed — that classic, aromatic celery note that makes everything taste more addictive.

Hearty doses of onion powder and garlic powder deliver savory depth, nutritional yeast amps up the umami richness (think cheesy-savory without dairy), and ground cumin lends earthy warmth. A hint of dried tomato adds tangy vegetable brightness, with just a whisper of sage for herbal sophistication.

Sprinkle liberally on hot fries for that irresistible "can't-stop-eating" finish — smoky, garlicky, slightly sweet, with a savory-herbal edge and subtle celery pop. Versatile beyond fries: killer on roasted potatoes, popcorn, grilled veggies, burgers, eggs, or as a rim for Bloody Marys.

Small-batch, hand-mixed in Coeur d'Alene — no fillers, just real flavor.

Perfect Fry Dust Fries (or Roasted Potatoes, TOTS etc...) Time: 35–40 minutes Serves: 3–4

Ingredients
2 lbs russet or Yukon gold potatoes (or frozen fries if you want it faster) 2–3 tbsp neutral oil (avocado, canola, or olive oil) 1½–2 tbsp Coeur Spice Fry Dust (start with 1½ and add more to taste) Optional: pinch of Hot Habanero Salt for extra kick
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or air fryer to 400°F. Cut potatoes into fries or wedges (or use frozen fries). Toss with oil until evenly coated, then sprinkle generously with Fry Dust and toss again so every piece is covered. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet (or air fryer basket). Bake 25–35 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. As soon as they come out, hit them with one more light sprinkle of Fry Dust while they’re still hot. Serving tip: Eat them right away — the smoky, garlicky, slightly sweet, celery-kissed flavor is at its peak when hot and fresh.

I didn’t know I needed fry dust until I tried it. Now it goes on all fires.
